Design of a product-focused customer-oriented process

In an increasingly dynamic world where both needs and technologies are changing rapidly, there is a requirement for whole-life Customer-oriented Processes (CoPs) for software systems and software development. In the pursuit of delivering 'fit for purpose' systems, the design of a CoP requires an holistic approach to understanding, engineering, managing and evolving the system and software needs and requirements. This paper summarises the CoP concepts and requirements, describes some evaluation results and proposes the way ahead.
